Introduction

Sociology has a broad perspective. It deals with aspects of social life that exist in all its forms. It encompasses all social backgrounds. Most related social sciences have a limited range of specializations. It should be emphasized that human behavior cannot be neatly divided into different domains and attributed to a specific social science. Consequently, the boundaries between disciplines often overlap. Almost all social sciences very frequently leave their "own" and "foreign" domain.

Social Psychology and Sociology

Social psychology is the study of social and cultural influences on the individual. It focuses on the behavior of a single person and therefore differs from sociology, which is more interested in relations between groups.

However, there are areas of common interest such as socialization, norms and values. Moreover, the influences of the group on the individual and of the individual on the group are of interest to both social psychology and sociology.

Sociology and Anthropology

There are many fields in anthropology, namely; archaeology, linguistics, physical anthropology and social anthropology. Although anthropology was considered the study of early (primitive) cultures and the sociology of more contemporary society. This distinction no longer applies. Many of the earliest village studies in India were carried out by social anthropologists. Tribal communities in India have been widely studied by anthropologists in their physical and social aspects. Thus, there is some overlap between the fields of study of sociology and anthropology, especially social anthropology. Culture and social organizations are concepts studied in both disciplines.

Sociology and Economics

Both sociology and economics study industry, but in different ways. Economics would study the economic factors of industry, productivity, labor, industrial policy, marketing, etc., while a sociologist would study the impact of industrialization on society. Economists study economic institutions such as factories, banks, commerce, and transportation, but do not study religion, family, or politics. Sociology is interested in the interaction between economic institutions and other institutions of society, particularly political and religious.

Social life today is very complex and no single discipline can study it in depth. Although each social discipline focuses on a particular aspect of society, the interrelationships between the institutions of society must be considered. Only a few social sciences have been discussed to give an idea of the relationships between the social sciences. A similar analysis of the relationship of sociology to philosophy, history, public administration, etc.

Basic and Applied Sociology

Sociologists are interested in conducting research in the field of social life and developing theories related to human social behavior. The goal is to build a reliable body of knowledge through which different aspects of social life can be understood and explained. While this is important, it is necessary to use this knowledge in various aspects of human affairs. There are many factors that influence social relationships. The increased use of technology is one such area. Sociologists could anticipate how people will receive and react to new technology and the changes it could bring to social relationships. There are many development programs being launched.

The sociologist can indicate what care should be taken into account when introducing; changes without affecting their lifestyle, so that the proposed programs can be accepted. Reactions to innovations should be noted: acceptance, resistance or non-acceptance, while studies can also provide more insight into social values and social behaviour. Sociology thus provides insight into the social order in which we live and the forces that shape and shape it. It also suggests courses of action to ensure the emergence of new social patterns. The imaginative study of sociology enables us to understand the condition and fate of human beings. It can also help find solutions to current problems and dilemmas in society.
