Women and Society

Introduction:—

Man Born Free……..

But everywhere he is in Chain……………

According to Great Sociologists Rousseau…. put his thought towards the person to this visual society, everybody should enjoy their rights within the limitations. Many psychologists, Politicians, Economists and an Anthropologists viewed differently but, Rousseau’s point speaks about “Freedom”. In order to be a good activist for progress of the today’s scenario of Women’s life must be study out … Why today also Women are not free and incapable in the sphere of self-determination in rural and semi-urban areas? Though Government of Odisha has launched plenty of schemes, policies, constitutional amendment provisions etc. for each category of people , but why did not women are not aware? If, also a social worker conduct an awareness program to make them sensitize about women and girl child related issues they do not come forward, rather they feel uneasy to participate. For what reason today also women are in deprived condition? Till today girls refuse to move outside of the village for higher studies ,self respect and dignity are lacking because of shyness , freedom less , fearless whereas a boy go upward from grassroots level to top. How can we reduce women wroth less from society since 30 years social activists doing social action like strike, dharana and rally.

In these days People raise voice for an adequate life style not changing their thinking pattern towards women’s challenges which faces every circumstances in unhealthy society. They unable to raise voice against women issues. If we talk about Women Empowerment, no one is there to encourage them and at last feel fear to fight for their security. Still the GOI approved policies ,plans etc. but not implementing strategically. The only reason was India is a male dominated country.

Though we knew all about Governmental and Non-governmental activities implemented for Women’s capacity building and for skill development yet, we cannot find women’s improvement in interior areas as well as semi urban. Only thing we have to change our “Mind Set”. It should be work out through the Study of Psychology of a person’s mind.

Some Remarkable Extra ordinary Women Example are there who despite of all odd sands first in the line-:

1.Laxmi Narayan tripathi : A Human Rights Activist

In 2008, Laxmi Narayan Tripathi became the country’s first transgender to represent Asia Pacific at the UN, but her childhood was scarred by abuse. She is a social activist who founded 'Astitva' trust in 2007 for the welfare of the trans community. She is also the founder of the ‘Kinnar Akhada’ that created history by taking the first 'shahi snan' at the the Kumbh Mela in 2018.

2. Laxmi Agarwal:

Who is an acid attack survivor, is also a well-known social activist in the country who campaigns against acid attacks. Laxmi, who survived a gruesome acid attack at the age of 15 years, has been an inspiration for many. She now works for rehabilitating and supporting other acid attack survivors. She also advocated against the free sale of acid in India.

3. Jhulima Mallick:

A 22-year-old tribal girl from the remote Bandudi village in Odisha’s Kandhamal district, has brought pride for the state by receiving the prestigious V-AWARD from UN House at New Delhi today on the occasion of International Volunteer Day for her fearless work to end child marriage and promote education in her area. She is one among 10 awardees from the country and only one from the state.Jhulima Mallick comes from a poor family background had dropped out from 10th standard education because of the object poverty of her family and had engaged in labour work to support the family income. Conclusion:—-

I, can conclude here again reminding message of famous  Rousseau’s thought, Man Born Free but, Everywhere he is in Chain…….. regarding to this thought  I must say ,  change the line Man born free and s/he should be in chain with some limitation give chance to enjoy their freedom in this world . Essence of liberty, equality, justice must plays crucial role in the life of women. A child be a daughter, sister, wife ,grandmother her life cycle turns as well as responsibility increases from periodically…… They are Golden prior of this earth . Let’s raise” Voice” towards an Women’s success. Not only…… policies and plans brings a women change But also ……… “Think”,  plays a vital role in this Contemporary Society…….
